Economy Nobel Prize

I do not recall whether any non American ever received the economy Nobel Prize. But I am sure that most of the Economy Nobel Prizes were given to Americans. One wonders why. In spite of so many Nobel laureates, the US continues to screw up the world economy and to ruin millions of people all around the world. If they had some decency, they should all return the money they received: they were really overpaid like the bank and financial managers.
