The Holy Church forgets too often its past when dictating its own morale to the world. Inquisition, witches, Jews discrimination, colonial crimes….

It must also be proud to see that its example is still being followed: in the USA by the anti-abortion, in Italy by the Northern Leagues against immigrants, Israelis against Palestinians, Islamists against black people in Sudan….They follow the secular teaching of the church !

But Saudi Arabia, the model friend of the USA, the support of the West, is the best pupil amongst all. They have just condemned to death sentence a certain Ali Hussein Sbat, a Lebanese citizen, arrested while doing his pilgrimage to the Islam’s Holy cities.

His crime ? Witchcraft !

What did he do to be found guilty ? He was employed by a Lebanese television, Sherazade, receiving phone calls and telling the future a bout the callers issues: work, health love…Subsequent to the closing of Sherazade, he became a specialist in medicinal plants

He was last seen on Saudi television, with tied legs and arms, admitting witchcraft. The Saudi court condemned him witchcraft, for being miscreant, for insulting Islam and for not observing the Islamic law.

He has until the 8th of December for filing an appeal. Saudis lawyers have asked 1 million dollars for undertaking such a procedure. Talking about crooks.

True that we are in 1430 (Muslim calendar) and that the last witch to be burned in Europe was Anna Göldin in 1782 in Switzerland. Time for more crimes, time to stop being lenient towards obscurantism, time to say BASTA to Saudi Arabia.
