NOT EVEN IN ZINBABWE....

A couple of weeks ago I forged a new nick-name for my beloved Prime Minister, MUGABERLU* in view of the growing resemblance of Mugabe’s and Berlusconi’s political activities.

Funnily enough, I discovered last week that I was not the only one thinking in this way. Judges in Trani, a small city in Southern Italy, in the course of an investigation, had some conversations between MUGABERLU and public television officials recorded by chance. In these conversations, which the judges consider an illegal activity, MUGABERLU was pressing the Public Television CIO and members of the so called “independent” agency that should control the independence of Public TV to suppress some political talk shows he dislikes. One in particular, lead by Mr. Santoro, a journalist he had managed to get kicked out once by MUGABERLU through the so-called Bulgarian Edict (1) of 2001 and who was reinstated by the judicial system (with a compensation of almost 2 million dollars) in 2005.

MUGABERLU was particularly violent, verbally, and threatening for the people he was talking to. To the point that the Public TV CIO, in a subsequent telephone conversation, stated that not even in Zimbabwe such things (MUGABERLU’s pressions) would happen.

I doubt Mr. Masi had read this blog. But I am rewarded to see that even Berlusconi’s servants sare my views about Italy new Banana Republic.
