A few weeks ago, when OECD issued a report showing that Italy was in a critical situation, the Minister for Economy, M. Tremonti, made a strong derogatory statement (as he does every time someone criticizes his way of handling the economy) saying that its economists should shut up for at least two years since they had not foreseen the crisis.
Yesterday, the same OECD issued a report indicating that possibly, in six months time, Italy would do better than other EU countries. And immediately Berlusconi quoted it.
Is OECD trustworthy or not ?
